REDUCING THE CHANGE OF INFECTION

Another hair remover in Chicago method is plucking.  By using tweezers and stretching the skin tightly, you grip the hair close to the root, and pull it out. This usually will last depending on where you do it anywhere from three to eight weeks. Plucking is time-consuming because you can only remove one or two hairs at a time. However, it's inexpensive because all you need are tweezers. Plucking can be painful, so it's best to do it only on small areas, such as the eyebrows, upper lip, and chin. If the hair breaks off below the skin, a person may get an ingrown hair. After plucking, you may notice temporary red bumps because the hair follicle is swollen and irritated. You should try and sterilize your tweezers with rubbing alcohol before and after use to reduce the chance of infection. Another tip is to wait to pluck your hairs on your face at night or after a shower. At that time the hairs are softer and your skin is softer and it wont hurt that much. Another tip is to use a numbing cream like orajel or ice on the part of your body that you intend to pluck to help ease any pain you may have. If you are a frequent plucker you may not even notice the pain anymore. You can try plucking out hairs on parts of the body that are not your face, but as you will notice it is extremely time consuming.
